The PIG Invitational Charity Golf Tournament Presented By: Capital One
Friday August 27, 2010 (Party on Saturday the 28th)
This year we are very excited to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the PIG. The event this year will again have Capital One as our title sponsor. Capital One has been a long time supporter of our tournament and we are very happy to have them become a partner in our efforts to help raise money for the children of St. Tammany Parish. As always our FALL tournament will be a 4 man shamble with check-in time starting at 11:30am and a shotgun start at 12:30pm. The tournament will feature great on course contests and the format lends itself to a relaxing and fun filled day on the links.
There will be plenty of food and beverages on the course while you play and there will be more drinks and food after play while the scores are tallied and the winners announced.
After rave reviews about the party last year we have again scheduled it for the Saturday night following the tournament. This year Four Unplugged will be providing the music and Beau Chene will provide the outstanding food, drink, and service.

30 years of giving!
We are so excited with the direction that the PIG is going. Over the past 30 years this organization has grown from a small neighborhood get together into one of the premier charity events on the northshore. During that time many people and many businesses have donated their time and money to make this event what it is today. Our collective efforts as a community have enabled the PIG to raise over $300,000, with $100,000 of that money coming in the past 4 years alone!
This year as we celebrate our 30th year we are very pleased to have the following charities as our core beneficiaries; The Children's Advocacy Center, The Samaritan Center of Mandeville, K Bar B Youth Ranch and Upward Community Services. These four great organizations provide so much support and service to our community and we are looking forward to making large donations to each one of them this year from the proceeds we raise during our events.
If you have participated in the past you know what to expect: A great golf tournament with plenty to eat and drink capped off by one of the best parties of the year. We know that many of you plan your charitable contributions well in advance so please help us to make this the best year ever by earmarking some funds and thinking about those foursomes now!
